As the sun beams down on southeast Queensland's vast, sprawling terrain, the team of researchers from QUT have discovered something remarkable - the climate change beliefs of people in the peri-urban region is not dependent on political orientation. In fact, the survey revealed that 64% of the study’s climate change believing participants were made up of those who lean right and left politically.
On the other side of the climate change debate, the researchers found that those who rejected the notion of climate change were overwhelmingly right-wing in their political views. In addition, they were mostly older, and generally less educated.
