Possible terror attack fears have gripped Abu Dhabi following reports of a double explosion and a missile crashing into a building.

Images from the incident purport to show a burning building. According to some eyewitness accounts, a missile was fired into it around 7 a.m. Australian time. Loud explosions have been heard near a city shopping mall.

According to one statement: “It is critical! Abu Dhabi has experienced an explosion. It’s possible that a missile would have hit the city.” Other footage shows emergency personnel rushing to the scene in response to reports of a second explosion.
