Peter Dutton tested positive to Covid19

Peter Dutton in a statement has said that this morning he woke up with a temperature and sore throat .

He was subsequently tested for COVID – 19 . I was advised by Queensland Health this afternoon that the test had returned positive .

It is the policy of Queensland Health that anyone who tests positive is to be admitted into hospital and he has done so .

The Guardian reports that Peter Dutton had recently returned from the United States.

The minister met with American, UK, Canadian and NZ officials in Washington on 6 March, as part of the Five Eyes network.
