Coalition set to retain Government
In an election upset the Coalition is set to retain Government.
The AEC is reporting that 72.94% of polling places have counted first preferences and 63.78% of polling places have counted Two Candidate Preferred (TCP).
The ABC is reporting the Coalition will win the federal election but cannot say whether it will have a majority or minority government.
“Let’s put it out on the table here. At this stage, we think the Morrison government has been re-elected. We can’t see an alternative to a Morrison government in the numbers we’re seeing at the moment.” said Anthony Green.
Labor MP Sam Dastyari has said Labor is “utterly flabbergasted” and ” Labor headquarters it is panic stations.”
