US EPA chief Scott Pruitt Resigns – Believes God Made Trump President

US Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt has resigned.

Mr Pruitt has beenunder scrutiny for using tax payers money on first-class travel at as well as security spending, connections with lobbyists and industry groups. It has also been alleged he has been using his office for favours, as well as $US43,000 soundproof phone booth for his office and his rental of a high-end condo from an energy lobbyist’s wife.

President Trump said on Twitter “I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency,”

Deputy Administrator Andrew Wheeler will become acting EPA chief on Monday.

Mr Pruitt, a close ally of the fossil fuel industry, also was known for questioning the human role in global climate change.

“Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this,” Trump said.

In his resignation Pruitt said that his desire in service to Trump has always been to “bless you [Trump] as you make important decisions for the American people”

He also stated the he believes Trump is President because of “God’s providence” and that he believes that “same providence brought me into your service.”

“I pray as I have served you that I have blessed you and enabled you to effectively lead the American people.”
