North Korea: North Korean Athletes To Go To Tokyo 2020

North Korean President Kim Jong-un has met with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach in Pyongyang regarding the North’s future participation in the upcoming games.

At Beijing airport Mr Bach said he wanted to ensure the IOC’s cooperation with North Korea on the country’s participation in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Thomas Bach was quoted by the AFP “They announced to us that they will definitely participate in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as well at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022,”
