Prince Harry and Meghan Markle engaged

Kensington Palace: Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle are engaged.

The couple got engaged in London earlier this month. It is planned that the wedding would take place during the UK’s spring next year.

The Prince of Wales has said in a statement Prince Harry has informed the Queen about his engagement to Meghan Markle and the couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh say they are happy for the couple.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have said “it has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together”

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has offered the couple her “very warmest congratulations” and says “this is a time of huge celebration for two people in love”
