Queensland election: November 25
Queensland is off to the polls. Premier Palaszczuk has visited the Acting Governor to dissolve the parliament. The election date is on November 25.
This is the last time a Queensland premier will be able to “call” an election.
During the last local government elections there was a referendum on whether to bring in fixed four-year terms in state parliament.
Every Queensland state election after this one will be held on the last Saturday of October, every four years.
