Lebanon Launches Military Campaign To Clear ISIS Militants From Border Regions

Lebanon starts military campaign to clear ISIS militants from a remote corner near the frontier with Syria.

The campaign seeks to end ISIS threats to neighbouring towns and villages.

Hezbollah and Syria have also announced a simultaneous campaign to clear ISIS militants from the Syrian side of the border, in the western Qalamoun mountain range.

At the same time the Russian Defense Ministry has released footage that shows combat aircraft hitting ISIS vehicles as they try to retreat from Aqerbat, Syria.

According to the Defense Ministry, Syrian government forces have surrounded the militants near the town of Aqerbat.
