Buckingham Palace: Prince Philip To Retire

Buckingham Palace announces that Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and consort of Queen Elizabeth II, is to retire from royal duties in the autumn.

Prince Philip has the “full support” of the Queen in deciding to stop public engagements.
