Syria: ceasefire begins – rebels and government continue clashes in some parts

The Syrian cease-fire has started but monitors and rebels have reported that clashes between insurgents and government forces have continued in some parts of the country.

The cease-fire was negotiated by Russia and Turkey. Russia has said that the USA can join the cease-fire once Donald Trump takes the White House. Russia also wants Egypt , Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Jordan and the United Nations to join.

This cease-fire is the lasses attempt to end the six-year long conflict.
