Lockheed Martin Caves Into Trump’s Pressure Over F-35 Fighter Cost
Lockheed Martin caves into President Elect Trump after he put pressure on the company over the cost of building the F-35 fighters.
The Chief -Executive of Lockheed Martin, Marilly Hewson, has given Trump a personal commitment to bring down the cost of the jet.
Hewson stated in the statement on Friday “I had a very good conversation with President-elect Trump this afternoon, I gave him my personal commitment to drive the cost down aggressively.”
“We are ready to deliver,” said Ms Hewson.
Share prices in the company fell after Trump put pressure on the cmpnay following his tweet. The share prices fell by about 1.3 percent.
Based on the tremendous cost and cost overruns of the Lockheed Martin F-35, I have asked Boeing to price-out a comparable F-18 Super Hornet!
