Unemployment Rate Rises To 5.7% – Youth Unemployment Rise To 13% Under Turnbull
The ABS has released figures today that show that the unemployment rate has risen to 5.7% and the youth unemployment rate has risen to 13%.
General Manager of ABS’ Macroeconomic Statistics Division, Bruce Hockman higlithed that the quarterly trend underemployment rate remained at 8.5 per cent for a third successive quarter.
“The underemployment rate is still at a historically high level for Australia, but has been relatively unchanged over the past two years,” said Mr Hockman.
