QLD-LNP’s Springborg To Quit State Politics

Lawrence Springborg has announced that is is quitting state politcs after 27 years. Mr Springborg made the announcement today and that he will no run in the next state election.

Mr Springborg has not had the most successful career in state politcts after leading the conservatie side of politics in three election defeats and being opposition leader three times.

There is a view that the LNP is clearing out the dead wood before the next election. Lockyer MP Ian Rickuss has also announced he will not contest the next election.
