France Extends State Of Emergency For Six Months

The French national assembly has voted to extend the state of emergency for six months.

The state of emergency was due to expire on July 26.

The main opposition party, The Republicans, has proposed the extension by a minimum of six months.

The extension comes after the terrorist attack in Nice which saw saw 84 people killed and 303 injured.
