High Court Throws Out Bob Day’s Voting Reform Challenge
The Australian High Court has thrown out Senator Bob Day’s challange to senate voting reform.
The Senator challenged the voting reform saying that they were unconstitutional and would disenfranchise up to 25% of voters. In response to the Senator’s challenge the Commonwealth told the High Court that the Senator had taken a very narrow view of the Constitution and the parliament has the power to make the new law.
