It turns out accordiing to new research that 25-year-old men have the most social connections and that our social circles shrink as we age. In other words a persons twenties are a time for friends and men have the most but lose them quicker as they age.
Mobile phone records were used by European researchers to show that, in our twenties, men are more socially connected than women, but blokes lose their social connections faster.The report highlighted men lose their mates so rapidly that, by the age of 39, women have the most social connections, and this continues into old age, a pattern the authors say could be down to women being better at keeping up-to-date with their adult kids and grandkids.
