Go Away Abbott: 63.4% Australians Want Abbott To Retire

63.4% of Australians want former deposed Prime Minister​ Tony Abbott to retire and to leave politics, according to a poll released​ by the Australian Institute. The poll further revealed that 50.9% of Coalition​ voters want Abbott gone.

72.7% think Abbott will never be Prime Minister again.

54.1% of respondents said they believe​ the longer Tony Abbott stays in parliament the more damage he is doing to Malcom Turnbull.

Executive Director of The Australia Institute, Ben Oquist commneted “Across all demographics, gender and voting intentions the electorate think the former prime minister should retire,”

Mr Oquist mentioned​ that the public has moved on from Abbott-era policies and is looking for something new.
