Turnbull: Australia Needs To Be More Innovative & Unis Need To Commercialise Research

Australia’s innovation and research needs to be better according to the Prime Minister. “We have to be more innovative , more productive, more imaginative,”

Speaking in Nowra, NSW,  the PM said Australia’s innovation and research is the lowest in the OCED.

The Prime Minister had a message for Australian universities – their research needs to be more commercialised. He said he wanted to see universities, industry and business working together on research.

According to Mr Turnbull, Australia’s reputation for innovation and technology international, it is good but it needs to be better and primary research in universities needs to be commercialised. The Prime Minister wants every university to collaborate more with industry and business,” so as to create more jobs”.

He also said his Government is “building up Australian industry and Australian Technology.
