Brisbane LNP Mayor Defends LNP Councillor Who Paid Only $50 A Day To Campaign Workers

The LNP Mayor of Brisbane, Graham Quirk, has defended LNP Councillor Steven Huang who has paid campaign workers only $50 a day, will below the legislated minimum.

The LNP Mayor of Brisbane has tried to defend the payments by saying that they were out of pocket expenses, even though the advertisement stated it was a casual job. He then stated that Councillor Huang hadn’t authorised the job advertisement.

The councillor has knowingly paid campaign workers $50 a day, well below the legal minimum of $172.90 for a days work. The actions of the Councillor Huang and his team were uncovered by Fairfax during the week.

The LNP Mayor of Brisbane, Graham Quirk’s campaign has hit by numerous scandals including a candidate who sent inappropriate photos of his penis to a former student who attended the school he worked at previously.
