IEUA-QNT (Independent Education Union of Australia-Queensland Northern Territory) members across Queensland took part in full day stop work rallies across the state today due to the lack of employer engagement and respect in the negotiation for a new enterprise agreement.
Up to 1000 IEUA-QNT Members gathered in Brisbane today to condemn the employer and to ask that they be recognised, respected and rewarded for the work they do.
Members also highlighted that they will broaden their comparing to engage the community.
IEUA-QNT members in catholic schools have also endorsed further industrial action should QCEC continue to refuse to listen to employees and their concerns. IEUA-QUT Branch secretary Terry Burke stated “Parents deserve high-quality education for their children and that’s what our campaign is about”
