NATO Conducts Largest Military Exercise Since 2002

NATO has commenced its largest exercise,“Strong Resolve” military exercise, since 2002 with 36,000 international troops from 30 nations, incorporating non-NATO countries. The 30 Nations Participating in the activities are taking part sea and air across three European countries.

General Hans-Lothar Domrose, the Commander of Joint Force Command Brunssum, stated The goal of the exercise is to prepare and test the NATO Response Force. He also described the force an extremely ready and technologically advanced multinational force made up of land, air, maritime and Special Forces components.

The exercises will consist of two elements: the Command Post Exercise (CPX) for Strategic and Operational level staff, and the Live Exercise (LIVEX) for tactical level troop engagements.
