In an attempt to justify Russia’s military activity in Syria, Russian Prime Minister Dmity Medvedev said the government is protecting Russians from the terror threat.
He went on to say “…it is better to do it abroad rather than at home”
Mr Medvedev also stated the money being spent on the “counterterror” operation is justified and essential. ” This expenditure is legitimate with…regard to our country’s current position.
The Russian Prime Minister also stated the armed forces also needed to be upgraded.
In related news the United Nations has said they will suspend pre-planed humanitarian intervention activity in Syria due to the increase in military activity due to Russia.
