Speaking to ABC radio this week the Queensland Opposition Leader Lawrence Springboard has said that Queenslanders may very well want to reconsider the idea of asset sales after seeing the “effect of asset sales” in New South Wales.
Mark Bailey, the Minister for Main Roads, Road Safety and Ports and Minister for Energy and Water Supply, has said that the Opposition Leader has left the door open for the LNP to pursue a plan of asset sales in the future.
Mr Bailey said that is obvious that the league and opposition leader is under pressure from his own party room. “On the one hand, Lawrence Springborg claims he is listening to the people of Queensland who have made their opposition to asset sales clear at two state elections, but today he’s also left the door open,” said minister Bailey
Minister Bailey said that it is clear that Mr springboard is living in the past if he still thinks asset sales are a possibility.
