Victorian Labor promises to reopen Swinburne Lilydale TAFE and will invest $10 million
Labor has announced that Labor will re-open Swinburne Lilydale and invest $10 million into the campus. Victorian Labor leader Daniel Andrews stated that “Gough Whitlam built our TAFE system and will refuse to sit back and watch it die,”. TAFE and education have suffered greatly under the current conservative government in Victoria with millions of dollars slashed from the budget.
Swinburne Lilydale shut down in the middle of last year as part of a major restructure announced in 2012.
