North Korea: Country “Stronger More Unified” after execution of Kim Jong Un’s Uncle

The young North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has declared in his new years address to the people that North Korea is stronger and more unified after the execution of his uncle, Jang Song Thaek.

He stated in his address to the people, which was televised, that it was necessary to execute his uncle to rid factionalism with in the ruling Worker’s party.

His uncle was accused of plotting a coup. The purge of his uncle has raised the question of whether the young dictator was losing his grip on power.

The 25 minute televised speech contained threats against the US promising it would not be safe if new killer war breaks out. Hid speech was also closely watched for signs of provocation towards the United States and its allies.
