Tens of thousands of Cambodians Call For PM Hun Sen To Resign
Tens of thousands of Cambodians on sunday had marched through the capital of Phnom Pehn demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, Hun Sen.
Hun Sen has faced strong opposition to his government of the last few months. The country’s opposition party, Cambodia National Rescue Party, and over 400,000 garment workers have joined forces in opposition to the government.
The leader of the opposition party Sam Rainsy has said that all Cambodians believe that the government headed by Hun Sen was illegal.
The citizens of Cambodia want a change in leadership and are calling for fresh elections. In the previous elections Sam Rainsy came close to winning the last election much to the surprise of the ruling party. The opposition claim that the elections were stolen by Hun Sen and his government .
