A “Anti-Homosexuality Bill” and Anti-Pornography Bill has been passed by the Ugandan Parliment this week. The bill Uganda’s parliament has passed would make some homosexual acts punishable by life in prison. The “Anti-Pornography Bill,” which among other measures banned the wearing of mini-skirts.
The legislation, officially known as the “Anti-Homosexuality Bill,” still needs the signature of President Yoweri Museveni to become law. The version passed Friday does not include the death penalty but calls for a life sentence for anyone convicted of what the bill calls “aggravated homosexuality.”
