Five asylum seekers have charges dropped – rioting
Australia’s abc (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) is reporting that five asylum seekers have had charges dropped after staging a riot in one of Australia’s Processing and detention centres on Nauru.
The riot occurred last September 2012. The five had previously been charged after the event. This comes after 130 asylum seekers were charged for rioting after a riot occurred last month which caused damages totalling $60 million.
